Fab Vintage Retro Marmet Child’s Children’s Roll Top Wooden Desk Bureau & Chair

Please note that I have another of these, identical, if wanted. It’s currently in storage, hence it not being photographed at the same time. Here we have a lovely vintage child’s roll top desk and matching chair. I think this set is made from beech, though the chair is possibly pine- not sure though, as it isn’t knotty. A lovely blond tone, whichever. The desk has been mostly painted in satin black, leaving the fab roll top, inside and some of the underneath in the original wood. The desk has its original creamy white celluloid or bakelite handles on the lid, red writing mat- think its made from vinyl? Plus the original red vinyl seat pad on the chair, though this is removable if preferred. The chair has had the two back rungs painted to match the desk, just to make the two piece cohesive. This awesomely stylish little desk set is in very good vintage condition, with some minor marks and knocks commensurate with age and use. Knee hole height 49.5cm. Seat itself 30cm x 30cm.
