SOLID VG CONDITION TOO This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot… The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material. By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! The only other album that beat this a few years later was “Saturday Night fever”!!! Mothers/Stampers: 1/GRD 7/MP 4/ML 2/HD The Vinyl: 146g/141g VG(+) I have just fitted a new Audio Technica stylus to my SMK arm on my Focus One deck and this was the 1st album I listened to…. SUPERBLY CLEAN AND CLEAR AUDIO Visually, the vinyl has only a handful of very light and wispy marks to each disc. After listening to her ALL THE WAY THROUGH, I only found some VERY light and only VERY occasional background noise… And only on a few occasions-inbetween songs and in the quiet low lulls of the music. Even the run-ins and outs are lovely and quiet. The drums were so clear on’I Will’ GLORIOUS MONO Even the more delicate side 4 recordings are lovely and clear-I even noticed some compositions in the background I have not noticed before-simply due to the wonderful clarity. CERTAINLY NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP, SKIP OR STICK INCREDIBLE FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN NOTHING AT ALL TO MAKE HER JUMP, SKIP OR STICK TURN HER UP-I DID ; The labels: EX++ You could frame these beauties!! NO “AN EMI RECORDING” TO SIDES 1 & 2… Showing this to be the very 1st edition of these rare labels! All four of the labels are bright and clean, but with the 1st pressing DARKER Apple labels. Only a FEW very light and small spindle marks… These can only be seen when angling towards the light-and looking for them! NO HOLE WEAR TO MENTION! NO WRITING Mfd in the U. To each of the labels. It is an EARLY first run, with TOP loading. STILL OPENS WITH A CRACKLE-AS IF BEING OPENED FOR THE 1st TIME : Garrod and Lofthouse gatefold The spine remains strong, with light rubbing. Superbly bright cover-creamy white. The only points of notice are a couple of ever-so small patches (1cm) of what looks to be water staining to the top opening and to the bottom right and left corner-really nothing at all to worry about. SIMPLY LOVELY CONDITION Correct MONO cover as it doesn’t have the printing of Stereo to the back top right. GLORIOUS and clean on the inside of the gatefold. (Please see the detailed pictures for yourself-it really is lovely). Excellent, very strong Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold flipbacks…. Inners: EX- Original BLACK inners. They are INCREDIBLY well looked after. They DO NOT have any splits, just some light feathering to the openings. They have the die-cut corners and the’windows’ on one side to each. THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL-NOT REPRO! Pictures: They are NEAR MINT AND ALL ORIGINAL. WITH THE ORIGINAL SPACER TOO!! ALL present (John and George, Ringo & Paul) They DON’T have any pin-holes around their edges… Which was quite typical for the Beatles fans to pin their beau’s up on their bedroom wall. SUPER CORNERS Lovely and bright. GORGEOUS Poster: EX- Full size and with lyrics to the back. She is in great condition, but does carry some small pin holes to the corners. 1st Printing run wih the naked McCartney and the lips. WOULD DISPLAY INCREDIBLY WELL.
